The Ship's Log

Well, we expect to leave the Columbia River and turn left (that's south).  November we'll leave for Mexico.  April, hopefully entering the Panama Canal and July first leaving the Caribbean for Europe.  Now that you know where, we are leaving all doors open for changes. We shall keep updating this page with what we find in each location as well as some pictures of the fun we are having.

There are many ports that could be possible in Oregon and California.  Common knowledge says a cruiser should not enter into Mexico until November 1.  November is the end of tropical storms, or so they say.

Ports in Oregon could include Tillamook, Newport, Reedsport, Florence, and Coos Bay.  California has a bunch, including Crescent City, Fort Bragg, Eureka, Bodega Bay, and many more.  I have been to Monterey both by Slainte and on an airplane.  I believe hanging out for days could be fun.  Remembering John Stieinbeck and Doc.  Maybe visiting the bay out from the ninth hole on Pebble Beach and realizing this adventure is not just a dream.  Come and visit. Our rates are less than the local hotel, with a better view.  We are hoping to stop in San Diego with Dominic and Julia and smell the roses.  See ya then.
